THE Council is inviting feedback on Reading’s SEND Local Offer which gives details about services, support and activities for children with special educational needs or disabilities.
The survey will help the Council improve the information, accessibility and usage of the service and assist in developing the Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Local Offer for 0 – 25 year olds and their families.
Participants will be asked to answer a few straightforward questions about subjects such as the information they have accessed on the SEND Local Offer, how easy it was to find, what they liked about the service and what could be changed to make it better.
Cllr Tony Jones, Lead Councillor for Education, said:
“The Reading SEND Local Offer helps people find essential information for children who have special educational needs or disabilities, and their families.
“We want the SEND Local Offer to continually improve to ensure it provides a genuinely valuable resource and the feedback from users will help us achieve this.
“It will only take a few minutes to complete the survey and people’s participation will be greatly appreciated.”
The survey can be found at: https://consult.reading.gov.uk/children-education-early-help-services/local-offer-survey-2017-2018/ and the closing date is Monday 18th December 2017.
