RESIDENTS in Reading will this week receive forms asking them to check and update information that appears on the electoral register for their address.
Reading Borough Council is asking residents to look out for the third and final reminder Household Enquiry form in the post. This will be sent to all outstanding properties from Tuesday 7th November 2017 and residents should make sure they respond as soon as possible, and by 30th November 2017 at the latest.
The Household Enquiry form ensures that Reading Borough Council can keep the electoral register up to date and identify any residents who are not registered so that they can be encouraged to do so.
With Local Elections taking place in Reading on 3rd May 2018, this is an important opportunity for residents to make sure they will be able to take part.
If you’re not currently registered, your name will not appear on the household enquiry form. The Registration deadline date for this year’s published Register is 22nd November 2017.
